KL a.k.a. Kuala Lumpur
You know what I love the most - not having any expectations towards my travels, so I never have to be disappointed.
I am not even near to talk about disappointing experiences, what I mean is when you don't expect a lot you get really nicely surprised. Thats exactly what happened to me in KL.
While living in Cambodia, I met quiet few Malaysians and they seemed like good bunch of people to hang out with. Knew couple of old friends from London who moved to KL few years back and as mentioned had no clue or vision about Malaysia at all, so it was the time to get my butt over there and experience it myself even for few days.
Landed with excitement and empty stomach as my Malaysian friends was telling me all about fantastic food scene awaiting for me.
The first thought is bloody modern, urban big city with many skyscrapers and metro, and shops, and clean places..which I was forgetting about while living in Phnom Penh.
So far so good.
And everything was getting better and better while you are looked after by locals and staying with the friends who knows all the best places to be at.
First things first - FOOD
First stop fantastic local street food market in BB(Bukit Bintang) with so many options and choices your head gets spinning. (And is sooooooo cheap) BRAVO!
Drink scene is not disappointing at all. As hospitality junky I was aiming to try as many good wines, modern cocktails and at least try to visit all recommended places.
