First lets talk 'Sri Lanka'

My introduction to Sri Lanka started then I moved to Dubai and met new cool coworkers from little magical island just next to India, which I didn't know a lot about at that time.
Hearing them talking their crazy language, trying new dishes they used to prepare and listening to endless stories about the living on Sri Lankan beach, I decided to give it a go, as it was so close to Dubai and it's relatively cheap to get there too.
I felt in LOVE with the south of Sri Lanka, that's where I keep going back. Hikkaduva, Galle, Mirrisa, Unawatuna, Tangalle, Weligama all these places located just on the coast, where you can get by driving next to coastline almost all the way from Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka(Much faster way is taking the high-way thought).

First impression is poor, but it's changes the closer you get to the nature.. Ocean, woods, jungles, tea plantations, wild animals, sea life.. so pure and untouched like their people. That's one of the reasons I keep coming back. Treat them good- they going to treat you better! Don't let me start talking about freshest fruits, vegetables and the most delicious sea food you can find. Sri Lankans would share their last bite with you.
One more reason I keep going back, it's fantastic place to learn surfing. You can find miles of coastline with choice of reefs, point breaks and sandy beaches.
Sri Lanka is perfect place for backpackers and young professionals, well maybe that's my way of seeing it, as I'm more likely hang out in the surfing friendly places.

Sri Lanka is perfect destination with tight budget, but nowadays you can find heaps of luxury villas and hotels.
I felt very comfortable in there so my last visit was as solo traveller, which was awesome, even felt safe enough to rent scooter(the driving is crazy tho) and just traveled on my own where ever I wanted. Once again I met many wonderful people and came back super relaxed, happy and full of unforgettable memories.

Temples, tea plantations, waves, hills, wild animals, yummy and fresh food, culture, Sri Lankan's hospitality that's only few reasons to go back again and again.
